Initial write up of ideas so far.

Response: approach or strategy

Since many people in the 18 - 25 age group already have other access to non-fiction books for research, we want to approach the issue from a fiction angle. Through this angle, we can address a range of issues that are contributing to the larger issue. We can address the space and environment within the library, the online space, and increase the visibility to the target audience through external advertising. We can also use targeted advertising to promote different aspects of the library that 18 - 25 year olds generally aren’t aware of, such as the CAB, the meeting rooms, music room, various events and others. Being aware of these valuable resources will encourage more regular visits and more memberships

Scope: deliverables

Library New Adults environment
The indoor space, specially designed for 18 - 29 year olds to enjoy the New Adults
books AND all of the library’s other amazing facilities.

Online New Adults environment
An online space that caters especially to this tech-savvy age range, with additional features
such as social media book sharing and suggestions, making the library more relatable to this
predominantly online community

Launch event
This launch event will improve the visibility of this new section AND the library itself, also
updating the perception of the library, making it more appealing to a trendy age group, without
losing the integrity of the organisation.

External Advertising
External advertising will promote the library as a trendy, updated, calm and fun place to be,
specially targeted to the 18 - 29 y/o audience

Internal Advertising
Internal advertising will be great for promoting the amazing facilities that aren’t often
recognised by 18 - 29 year olds and will encourage memberships from the people that we
have attracted to the library with the other strategies
