We looked at SPP examples to see what worked well and what did not work well
Worked well:
Categories with subheading
Concise text with short paragraphs
Good navigation
Lots of white space
Interesting pull quotes
Does not work well:
Bad imagery
Bad captions
Generic descriptions especially for target audience
Biography at the front
Written like a blog post; i.e. describing process - 'before we began...'
Not using whitespace well
Execution not relevant to subject matter
Non-relevant, boring, or long pull quotes
Pull quotes across the midline when spiral bound
